Konami introduced a new JRPG called Rev. NOiR during Sony’s February 2026 State of Play. The project is being produced by Nobuki Kadoi, known for work on Drakengard 2, and was shown alongside other recent Konami returns such as Silent Hill F and the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater port.
“This title is under development by passionate members, including myself, who are long-time fans of JRPGs. Meeting comrades, growth, and heartfelt moments that define JRPGs. We are striving to place these elements at the core of our narrative. We hope you’ll be able to feel the excitement of a new adventure beginning. The trailer you saw today is just a tiny little peek of the game. We will be sharing more updates, so please stay tuned!”
The official description refers to a “world shrouded in lightfall, a natural phenomenon that brings death to those it touches.” The cast includes an amnesiac and a magical girl who appear central to the story. Konami described the announcement as an early teaser and said further details will follow in later updates. The trailer was part of Konami’s segment of the broadcast and is available to watch on YouTube.
Konami has been more active recently, though the company has also acknowledged technical problems in its other releases, you can see reporting on its response to crash reports for Metal Gear Solid Delta.
