The retro gaming community on Xbox has something new to cheer for. Over 1400 classic titles have been brought to Xbox, thanks to Antstream Arcade and Phil Spencer, head of Xbox. The retro game streaming service Antstream Arcade is now available as a standalone application on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles.
This exciting addition opens the door to a vast library of nostalgic gaming experiences, including titles from Amiga, Arcade classics, Commodore 64 (C64), Mega Drive, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), and ZX Spectrum. The total collection currently stands at 1470 games, adding variety to the Xbox gaming ecosystem.
The list of available games reads like a who’s who of classic gaming: Mortal Kombat, Metal Slug X, Earthworm Jim 2, and Space Invaders, to name just a few. The diversity of this collection promises to cater to a wide range of gaming preferences, from fighting games to classic side-scrollers and shoot-em-ups.
