Resident Evil Village is Capcom’s upcoming survival horror game, being the 10th installment to the franchise and the direct sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Today, Capcom has released a new video about the game’s setting, and it looks terrifying!
If you’re not familiar with Resident Evil Village, it’s set a few years after RE7: Biohazard. Ethan and his wife Mia have been living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again. Chris Redfield, the famous character from the Resident Evil series, which made a brief appearance in Resident Evil 7 biohazard, is reacquainted with the couple and disrupts their life, leaving Ethan devastated and thrown into an entirely new nightmare. Ethan must uncover the horrors of that once peaceful village and get rid of them in a horrifying first-person experience as he’ll be hunted during his journey.
Capcom has also said that they have plans to release RE Village for current-gen consoles, but they don’t promise anything. Right now, we know that the game will be out somewhere in 2021 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. We’re hoping for more news shortly.
