A leaker has claimed that versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 “exist,” but offered no timing for when they might arrive. The comment came from NateTheHate2 in response to a post on X, where he wrote Yes, they exist. and added that he had no update on a release date, leaving the timeline unclear.

Yes, they exist. I have no update on timing for release.

Rumors of a remaster or next‑gen ports for Red Dead Redemption 2 have been circulating for some time, as many expected the game to follow the path that GTA 5 took when it moved from last‑gen consoles to newer hardware. The idea that Rockstar’s cowboy epic would be updated for PS5 and Xbox Series has been a persistent topic among fans. Earlier this year, reports said the game was also planned for Nintendo Switch 2 as part of Take‑Two’s wider support for Nintendo’s new hardware. Neither that report nor the recent claim includes a release window.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was initially released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October 2018 and reached PC in November 2019. Former Rockstar boss Dan Houser recently described Red Dead Redemption 2 as the best game he worked on at the studio, remarks published in a separate piece on the topic. If these ports are in development, players on current‑generation consoles and Nintendo’s next system would benefit from easier access to Rockstar’s story and online modes. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X and Bluesky.
