Prepare, football fans! Sloclap just announced that the Rematch Open Beta will be available for all platforms from May 28 to May 30, 2025. This means players on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC can test the game before its full release on June 19. I’m already talking about trying it out to see how the gameplay feels during these two days!
Open Beta Details
The news dropped on their official Discord channel. The beta will last 48 hours, giving everyone a solid window to experience the football action. But before that, a Console Technical Test is scheduled for May 9. This test is crucial for the developers to check that the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC Game Pass versions work smoothly. Invitations for this tech test will be sent separately, prioritizing those who subscribed to the newsletter earlier.
Heads up: if you own the Steam version of Rematch, you won’t be able to join this beta. That’s a bummer for some, but hopefully, future tests or the full release will include Steam players.
One thing to note is that crossplay won’t be active during the open beta. Sloclap is focusing on preparing this feature for the full launch next month or shortly after. So, if you’re hoping to play with friends across different platforms during the beta, that won’t be possible yet.
What do you think about Rematch’s open beta coming to all platforms? Are you excited to test it out or a bit frustrated about the lack of crossplay? Drop your thoughts below!
