According to a new listing on the PlayStation Network, Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC after a 14-year wait. The PlayStation Network description for Red Dead Redemption has been updated to mention a PC version.
As the description currently reads: “Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation – now on PC for the first time ever,“. Though Rockstar has yet to announce the PC release officially, it looks like the description for the PC version has accidentally been added to the PlayStation version in the PSN backend. The Wayback Machine on archive.org shows that when the page was last archived in April, there was no mention of a PC version.
The description also says the PC version will include the Undead Nightmare expansion. You can find the official description below:
“Featuring the complete single-player experiences of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound.”
Red Dead Redemption launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 18, 2010, and later became available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in August 2023. Thanks to the Xbox 360 version available on the Xbox store, the game is also accessible on current Xbox consoles. Both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles can play the 360 version through backward compatibility.
RDR is currently available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility.
