Rainbow Six Siege has Steam achievements a full decade after the game’s 2015 launch, Ubisoft confirmed in a short Steam announcement today with the line, “We are pleased to announce that Steam Achievements are now available for Rainbow Six Siege!”
The company also confirmed the Steam achievements are retroactive: any previously unlocked Ubisoft Connect achievements will be automatically unlocked on Steam the next time you log into the game, so players do not have to redo progress to get their new Steam trophies. Rainbow Six Siege has been an odd fit on PC storefronts for years. The game launched in 2015, and in 2024 it went through a major shift into the free-to-play Rainbow Six Siege X relaunch, but Ubisoft has been gradually restoring Steam features only after returning from earlier storefront exclusivity experiments.
If you want to see Ubisoft’s announcement yourself, it’s on the game’s Steam announcements page. Players who follow Siege closely will also remember the publisher has a habit of adding Steam achievements long after launch for older titles. Seen like that, Siege getting achievements after 10 years feels less like a surprise and more like part of a pattern. That does not make it any less welcome for completionists and long-time players who can now collect their Steam trophies without having to chase down old Ubisoft Connect records.
