Rainbow Six Mobile is now in its third and final testing phase, with Ubisoft shifting focus to backend work that often determines whether a mobile shooter can actually hold up at scale. Phase 3 will concentrate on deploying data centres, balancing gameplay, upgrading infrastructure, and resolving bugs before a worldwide submission to Apple and Google.
The studio says players who linked their accounts to Ubisoft Connect will be able to carry over in-game progress into the live launch. Exact dates for Phase 3 and the global release window have not been shared yet but the publisher posted a celebratory update on X announcing the milestone.

Ubisoft has confirmed the initial roster and maps that will ship with the mobile version. The game will include 12 attacking operators and 12 defending operators. Six maps have been revealed so far and more are planned after launch.
Minimum system requirements
- Android – 4GB RAM, Android 9 or newer
- iOS – A12 processor or newer
The requirements are modest for a title in this genre, which should let a wide range of mid-range phones run the game and help build a larger player base. That also makes the mobile launch a potential stepping stone for competitive play and organised events that mirror the franchise’s PC ecosystem.
Rainbow Six Siege has recently pushed into broader platform esports work, and the mobile entry could extend that ambition into handhelds and phones. For a look at how the franchise is opening competition across platforms check this coverage of the seasonal series.
The project was first announced in 2022 and is a free-to-play competitive multiplayer shooter where teams of attackers and defenders use operators to complete objectives. Ubisoft will submit the final build to the stores once the testing goals are met.
