Bethesda should be happy because of their recent success of RAGE 2. The game has managed to punch up the UK leaderboards and claim the number one spot on the retail sales charts. RAGE 2 has sold fewer copies than its predecessor, but still fulfilled its needs as a whole.
Avalanche Studios and Bethesda probably haven’t expected anything of this size. However, surpassing Days Gone and Fifa 19 happened fast after its release. The overcome has been publicized by GfK Chart-Track, and the top 10 video games can be found below:
Position | Title |
1 | RAGE 2 |
2 | Days Gone |
3 | Fifa 19 |
4 | Mortal Kombat 11 |
5 | Red Dead Redemption 2 |
6 | Mario Kart 8 Deluxe |
7 | Grand Theft Auto V |
8 | Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 |
9 | A Plague Tale: Innocence |
10 | New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe |
A couple of titles are still firmly advanced among the top 10, such as RDR2, Fifa 19 and GTA 5, and we do not believe there will be any flaw to cause a drop of those games because they’re arguably the best games for consoles, which incentivizes the fact why players buy physical copies of them.
The list above somewhat negates the difficulties Fallout 76 had. Bethesda has made the necessary redemption with RAGE 2, for which people feel more positive than negative. The whole value comes from both the PS4 and Xbox consumers. There have been 57% of physical sales on the PS4, while the Xbox one cut off only 38% of it.
The PC consumers on the other side, which usually deal with digital copies bought only 5%. Other titles such as Plague Tale: Innocence and Sniper Elite V2 have managed to debut on the complete GfK charts.
