QuakeCon at Home will run from August 7 to 9

Many events from the video game industry have faced cancelation due to the COVID-19 outbreak. E3 2020 and Gamescom have also been a part of that. So as will QuakeCon 2020, which event won’t conduct physically, will sustain a digital edition in which multiple players will be able to compete from home. Today, it was announced that QuakeCon will start on August 7 and will end on August 9.

This year, due to COVID-19, QuakeCon at Home will be a global, totally online event – kicking off August 7 and ending August 9 – filled with three days of livestreams from around the world, tournaments (of course!), charity fundraising, and more. And the BYOC – the heart of QuakeCon – is going virtual, using Twitch Teams to bring fans together through games in new ways.

This is the 25th Annual QuakeCon that will be held remotely. The broadcast of QuakeCon at Home will be available on different streaming services, including Bethesda’s and QuakeCon’s official Twitch Channel.

Earlier this year, it was concluded that Bethesda has given up on hosting a digital showcase for new and upcoming games. However, that alluded only for June. Bethesda also didn’t rule out QuakeCon, their renowned yearly convention, which is somewhat weird. Overall, QuakeCon at home will be a 3-day streaming event.

Tournament Prizes will always be there to spice up the entertainment and bring fun to the Livestream, but due to its online course, trust issues may arise. Nevertheless, we’re here for pleasure, as that’s what is most important at these dark times.

My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
