PUBG: Black Budget will run a closed alpha on PC across two weekends in December 2025, PUBG Studios confirmed. The tests aim to give players an early look at the game’s first-person, PvPvE extraction loop on the island of Coli and to stress core systems like combat pacing, extraction mechanics, and hideout progression.
Closed alpha schedule
- Weekend 1 Dec. 12, 3am CT to Dec. 14, 1:59am CT
- Weekend 2 Dec. 19, 3am CT to Dec. 21, 1:59am CT
Those two sessions amount to six days of testing in total and will include environmental threats and raid content, from mutants to crocodiles and even flying bees.
Regions and languages
The alpha is limited to players in North America, Europe, and Asia. The build supports multiple languages including English, Korean, Russian, and Chinese. Players outside those regions will not have access in this phase.

What players will test
The alpha offers an early look at the extraction loop on Coli. Players will raid abandoned research facilities, scavenge experimental tech, and face both AI threats and hostile squads. There are hideout systems and gear upgrade paths to experiment with, plus boss and environmental encounters that change how a run unfolds.
PUBG: Black Budget is shaping up as another extraction-style shooter from the team behind PUBG: Battlegrounds. These alpha weekends are the developer’s chance to gather data on balance and server load before wider tests.
