Psychonauts 2 from Double Fine, Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe, and Viewfinder have been added to the PlayStation Plus Essential roster for September 2025. The monthly update adds three PS5 and PS4 titles, now redeemable in the UK and Europe, and available until October 7, 2025.

The update applies to the PS Plus Essential tier and follows the usual monthly rotation for subscribers. A clear explainer on the subscription tiers is available via a guide to PS Plus memberships, which helps place the September choices in context. The three titles cover a range of tastes, from narrative platforming to a cozy farming sim and a puzzle-driven adventure. All titles are claimable now in supported regions and can be downloaded to compatible hardware.

  • Psychonauts 2 (PS4)
  • Stardew Valley (PS4)
  • Viewfinder (PS5, PS4)

The titles are redeemable now in the UK and Europe, with the USA gaining access later in the day. Community polling recorded a 40% swing calling the selection a “crap selection” for September 2025, while 30% said they were at least somewhat happy with the offerings. That split highlights how monthly free lineups land differently across tastes and expectations. The continued praise for Psychonauts 2 suggests it will be the first port of call for many subscribers.

All three games remain available to claim until 7th October 2025, when the September lineup will be replaced by October’s selection.
