PlayStation has revealed the PlayStation Plus games coming in September, and the trio is a solid mix. Psychonauts 2, Stardew Valley, and Viewfinder will be available to claim from September 2. I’m curious to see how people will split their time between a 3D platformer, a farming sim, and a brainy puzzle game.
Starting September 2, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim Psychonauts 2 on PS4, the 3D platformer sequel released in 2021. The second game joining PS Plus is the farming sim Stardew Valley on PS4, which has sold more than 40 million copies since its 2016 release. Who doesn’t love Stardew Valley?
The third title is Sad Owl Studios and Thunderful Publishing’s BAFTA-winning puzzle game Viewfinder, coming to PS5 and PS4. The game has you use an instant camera to change how the world is built and solved. If you claim the games while they are free, you can keep playing them after they rotate out of the month-to-month lineups, as long as you remain subscribed to any PlayStation Plus tier.
PlayStation Plus members have until September 1 to add August’s PlayStation Plus games to their library, which include Lies of P, Day Z and My Hero One’s Justice 2. Sony recently announced plans to shift away from providing PS4 games as part of its monthly PlayStation Plus offerings. Starting in January 2026, “PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit” of the service, with the company instead focusing on PS5 titles.
So, yeah, September’s list offers a little something different – from goofy minds to quiet farms to camera puzzles. Oh, and if you missed adding August’s titles, you have until September 1 to grab them. Drop your thoughts in the comments below – tell me which one you’re grabbing first.
