Pokémon Pokopia sold more than 2.2 million copies worldwide in its first four days after launching on March 5, 2026, as Nintendo confirmed the figure in a press release, saying that The Pokémon Company (HQ: Tokyo, Minato-ku, Japan; President and CEO: Tsunekazu Ishihara) and Nintendo Co., Ltd. (HQ: Kyoto, Minami-ku, Japan; President and Representative Director: Shuntaro Furukawa) recorded global sales surpassing 2.2 million units in the first four days, including 1 million units sold in Japan.
Pokémon Pokopia is a spin-off that combines farming-sim mechanics with city-building systems and launched for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game has become the highest-rated Pokémon release on Metacritic and is listed among 2026’s top-rated titles. Nintendo’s announcement also pointed players toward future Pokémon projects. Pokémon Winds and Waves are scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point in 2027.
