Pokémon GO World Championships 2025 is bringing some special rewards for Trainers who watch the event on Twitch. Those tuning in will have a chance to claim two exclusive Timed Research codes, celebrating the spirit of competition and some fan-favorite Pokémon.
On Day 1, redeeming the live stream code will unlock Timed Research honoring the 2024 Pokémon GO Master’s Division World Champion, Yekai0904, along with one of the Pokémon that helped secure the win. Rewards include an Elite Charge TM and a shiny Skarmory, among other prizes.
Day 2 focuses on building strong teams for the Great League. Trainers will be able to choose from three different team options featuring Pokémon like Lapras, Sableye, and Lileep in one option, or Squirtle, Stunfisk, and Inkay in another. A third team option offers Sentret, Paldea Wooper, and Wimpod. Trainers will also receive 8,500 Stardust and more.
Watching the event on official Pokémon GO co-streamer channels will increase the chance of Buddies bringing souvenirs like Torn Tickets or Cactus Fruit, plus a Timed Research featuring a Pikachu wearing a varsity jacket.
How to Redeem the Research Codes
1. Follow the official Pokémon GO Twitch channel
Following Pokémon GO Twitch is necessary to get notified when the live stream starts.
2. Watch the Pokémon GO World Championships live stream on Day 1 or Day 2
Live streams will start at 12:00 a.m. UTC on Friday, August 11, 2023, and Saturday, August 12, 2023, with rebroadcasts throughout the weekend. Missing the live show won’t stop you from getting a code during rebroadcasts.
3. Locate the giveaway panel
During the stream, look for the giveaway panel below the Twitch window on the Pokémon GO channel.
4. Share your Twitch ID
Click “Share Twitch ID” so your watch time is tracked.
5. Watch for 30 minutes
A timer will count your watch time. Minimizing or refreshing the stream pauses or resets the timer, so be careful.
6. Claim your code
After 30 minutes, a button said that “Claim Your Code” will appear. Click it to reveal your code.
7. Redeem your code
Copy the code and use the Redeem Offer Codes page to get your rewards.
