Sony has announced their much-anticipated PlayStation Showcase set for Wednesday, May 24, at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM UK time. Promising a show that will run a little over an hour, PlayStation fans worldwide are in for an immersive and exciting experience with a sneak peek at several new creations from PlayStation Studios.

According to the official PlayStation blog, the Showcase will spotlight various upcoming games for PlayStation 5, and the recently launched PlayStation VR2. A wealth of new games and IPs are slated to debut, drawing from the creative wells of PlayStation Studios and top development studios worldwide.

Sony also hinted at including captivating games from their third-party partners and indie creators, further diversifying the range of displayed experiences. This announcement heightens the anticipation for PlayStation’s grand vision for the future of gaming on its next-gen platforms.

The PlayStation Showcase will broadcast live on popular streaming platforms, including YouTube and Twitch. Fans can tune in to experience the exciting revelation of the upcoming line-up.

Despite the enthusiasm, PlayStation has issued a note of caution for co-streamers and creators hoping to save the Showcase as a Video-On-Demand for recap videos or to repost clips from the show. The Showcase may include copyrighted content, such as licensed music, which could interfere with co-streams or VOD archives due to licensing agreements outside PlayStation’s control.

Therefore, co-streamers and creators are advised to omit any copyrighted music if they plan to save the broadcast as a VOD. This measure is to ensure compliance with copyright laws and to avoid any potential infringement issues.
