The PlayStation Portal is taking a significant step forward today with the launch of its beta cloud streaming service. This update is available to PlayStation Plus Premium members in select countries, allowing players to experience a curated selection of 120 PS5 titles directly on their devices.
The new streaming feature will let users play popular games such as Dave the Diver, Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Monster Hunter Rise, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
However, this feature is currently limited to PS5 titles only, with no support for PS3 or PS4 games. This limitation may disappoint some players hoping for a more extensive library. There are also unanswered questions regarding whether this restriction will remain once the beta period concludes.
A new PlayStation Portal update releases later today, featuring:

The beta service is initially implemented in various countries, including Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, and more. However, certain features like Game Trials and game invites via Party voice chat are unavailable during this testing phase but are expected to be implemented before full release.
This cloud streaming initiative represents an exciting development for PlayStation users looking to access their favorite titles on the go.
