Knowing that PUBG is the most popular game nowadays, this was the only missing title under PUBG’s belt. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has surpassed Dota 2’s concurrent player’s record, setting a new highest player peak ever. It seems like PUBG is the very first game that succeeds reuniting players from different Game Genres. Beating Dota 2 is not an easy task for a single game, but PUBG has managed to surpass Dota 2’s Concurrent Players Lifetime Record which was exactly 1,291,328.
Today, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds’ community and Bluehole have to be very proud of themselves. Having the power and tools to gather 1,349,584 players at the same time is an amazing success.
PlayerUnknown, Brendan Greene himself, tweeted out about the new concurrent record as well.

This time, we’re not talking about closing a gap on the first place. Instead, it’s an overtake and we’re more than excited to see the outcome of PUBG’s future. I mean, knowing that Bluehole will allow creative players to take part and allow mods in PUBG, we’re pretty sure that the game is on a great path of earning new achievements rather than failures. PlayerUnknown, Brendan Greene has claimed that as soon as the game goes out of early access, modding will become available. Highest peak player count for a game that’s still in early access seems like a pointer that the numbers will only grow bigger, no matter in which category.
