Planet Coaster 2 just got a fresh free update from Frontier, now available on PS5, and it’s packed with some neat features to make your parks feel even livelier. Whether you’re all about the details or love seeing your guests enjoy themselves, this patch has a little something for everyone.
One of the most fabulous additions is the introduction of gift and souvenir shops. These aren’t just any shops, they’re modular, so you can tweak their looks and decide precisely what goodies you want to stock. I mean, who doesn’t love a good souvenir after a wild ride, right?
Speaking of rides, the update allows you to set up cameras on your attractions to capture on-ride photos of your guests at just the right moment. The better the picture, the more likely your visitors will want to buy it. You can then place photo kiosks inside those gift shops or anywhere else you fancy in the park. It’s a smart way to add some extra income and a bit of charm.
Fans of the original game will be glad to see the return of Pirate and Fairytale themes. You can decorate sections of your park with all kinds of items from these themes, adding some classic vibes and fun aesthetics. Additionally, two de-themed rides have been added for customization, and the Coriolis flat ride has also returned. Nostalgia alert!
Another notable update is the audio enhancement. Now, you can adjust the volume for park speakers and even set them to play specific playlists. This means you can create different atmospheres in various parts of your park, which is kinda great when you want to set a mood.
Along with these features, the update includes several fixes and improvements that refine the overall experience nicely. For more detailed information, the full patch notes are available here.
Are you still building your dream park in Planet Coaster 2? What do you think about these new features? I’m curious to hear if the on-ride photos or modular shops caught your eye the most. Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
