PGA Tour 2K25 is welcoming Season 2 on May 14, bringing a new way to test your golf skills with the introduction of the Challenges mode. This update also adds the iconic Old Course at St Andrews Links, a new shot type, and resets the Ranked Ladders, keeping the game lively and rewarding for players.
Season 2 offers bite-sized contests designed to push your abilities in short bursts of gameplay. These Challenges are inspired by a “Choose Your Own Adventure” style, allowing you to pick your path, select rewards, and tackle distinct objectives. For example, you might need to finish a hole with an eagle or better while navigating floating rings or using only one type of club. These quick moments are perfect for players looking for focused, skill-testing fun.
Challenges Mode Details
The Challenges mode includes contests such as Trials for more complex gameplay and Spotlight Challenges that recreate famous moments from golf history. You might find yourself replicating Max Homa’s hole-out eagle or tackling tricky uphill putts in a Technical Skills Challenge. Each map offers a fresh twist, whether you’re aiming for mastery or just having fun.
The Charles Schwab Challenge Course
Coming soon is a new 3-hole course made especially for Challenges, created in partnership with Charles Schwab. It features three holes with different pars:
- Hole 1: A long Par 4 with a challenging approach over a ravine, where hitting the fairway is key.
- Hole 2: A long Par 3 over a river and waste area, requiring careful club selection to stay on the green.
- Hole 3: A dogleg left Par 5 that rewards a perfect tee shot with a chance at an eagle putt.
These Challenges offer a quick way to sharpen your skills between full rounds, with more content planned throughout the year.
Additional Season 2 Highlights
Golf fans will be pleased to see the Old Course at St Andrews Links making its debut in PGA Tour 2K25. Season 2 also brings new rewards, including upgrades, gear, and a new shot type called the Long Flop. This shot uses a wedge to deliver a high trajectory with extra distance, perfect for when your previous shot fell short.
PGA Tour 2K25 Season 2 is available on Xbox Series X|S starting May 14. You can read more about the season and its features here.
