2K Sports has officially announced the release of PGA Tour 2K25 scheduled for February 28 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. This will be the first entry since PGA Tour 2K23 promising to bring several interesting features. With a new EvoSwing mechanic players can expect more significant control over their shots.
MyCareer mode is getting a significant upgrade too. For the first time, players can compete in three golf majors: The U.S. Open, PGA Championship, and The Open. In-mode interviews are another fresh feature that will add some flavor to your journey through the ranks. Sadly, if you’re hoping for The Masters, you’ll need to check out EA Sports’ title since it’s exclusive there.
When you step onto the virtual greens, you’ll find a familiar lineup of playable pros, including Tiger Woods, Matt Fitzpatrick, Max Homa, Justin Thomas, Tony Finau, Lydia Ko, Tom Kim, and Brooke Henderson. More golfers will be added post-launch. It’s always fun to see which legends join as DLC later, maybe we’ll see some surprises!
PGA Tour 2K25 will launch with 29 licensed courses featuring renowned locations like Oakmont Country Club and Quail Hollow Club. Fans of classic layouts will also see courses like The Old Course at St. Andrews coming soon. Returning is the much-loved course designer with new tools that should ignite creativity among players.
Online play looks promising, too! There are cross-platform Societies and various daily and weekly Ranked Tour tournaments for those competitive spirits.
