Pacific Drive’s Launch Delayed to Early 2024

Recent news from the publisher, Kepler Interactive and Ironwood Studios, confirms that the highly-awaited title will no longer be hitting the shelves this year. The release date has now been shifted from 2023 to early 2024, and while many fans may feel the sting of disappointment, there are solid reasons for this decision.

In a heartfelt message, Ironwood Studios clarified why they chose to delay the game. Their commitment is evident, not only to deliver a stellar gaming experience but also to ensure the well-being of their team. The studio emphasized, “In this final stretch however, it’s important to us that we stay true to ourselves, and not compromise on the team’s well-being.

The game, which will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, has been under development for a long time. The journey to bring the concept of Pacific Drive to life has been arduous but rewarding, with the developers expressing their pride in what they have achieved thus far.

Ironwood’s message states, “As our community grows, the support and excitement everyone has shown has been incredible, and we can’t wait for everyone to take their own set of wheels out into The Zone.” This indicates that the game may have a unique aspect surrounding vehicles or driving, intriguingly termed “The Zone.”

Ironwood Studios also revealed they would participate in the Future Games Show next week. They have promised to unveil a brand new trailer for Pacific Drive. This gesture surely aims to assure fans that, although the wait might be a little longer, it will undoubtedly be worth it.
