Overwatch 2 fans, mark your calendars for October 10th, the start date of the game’s next season, Rise of Darkness. With a special launch trailer slated for October 4th, fans are excited about a teaser that just dropped on Twitter. The short video hints strongly at a crossover with another blockbuster Blizzard game, Diablo 4.
The sneak peek features Zomnics, the zombie-like foes from Junkenstein’s Revenge event, walking around a Halloween-themed Blizzard World map. But that’s not all. For a brief moment, Lilith, an essential character in the Diablo universe, appears. However, it’s quickly revealed that Lilith is Overwatch 2 hero Moira in a new skin. The outfit is likely to be available for purchase in the in-game store.

Aside from the Diablo 4 crossover, the new season promises many new features. A new limited-time Player vs Environment (PvE) mode is being introduced. It offers new challenges, but the fan-favorite Junkenstein’s Revenge and its follow-up, Wrath of the Bride, are also expected to return.
A Premium Battle Pass is also on the way, offering new cosmetic items. Notably, a particular Mythic skin for the character Hanzo will be part of the deal. More information will be revealed when the full launch trailer debuts tomorrow.
Overwatch 2 is available on multiple platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch for those who haven’t jumped into the action yet.
