Blizzard Entertainment recently announced the much-awaited Overwatch 2 Season 4 update, which will go live on April 11th. The update brings new content, including a new Support hero, Lifeweaver, numerous cosmetics, quality-of-life changes, and limited-time events. However, there’s one significant change that players need to prepare for – the update will require as much as 38 GB of free space.
In a forum post, the developer explained that this update would be a “rebase” patch, consolidating all previous patches into the base game. This approach helps keep the overall size of the game client manageable for both PC and console platforms. While this may cause inconvenience for some players with limited bandwidth or storage space, it’s a necessary step to prevent the game client from becoming too large.
The Overwatch 2 Season 4 update will offer the following:
- A new Support hero, Lifeweaver
- Premium Battle Pass featuring the Mythic Galactic Emperor skin for Sigma
- The new B.O.B. and Weave limited-time game mode
- Numerous balance changes
- Quality-of-life updates
- And much more!
Overwatch 2 Season 4 will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch starting April 11th.
