The latest Overwatch 2 Season 17 update brought a lot to the table: map voting, a fresh Battle Pass loaded with 8-bit skins, and tweaks to Stadium mode. But alongside these additions, a glitch has surfaced that might just break the game’s balance for a bit. Players have found a way to activate all four of a hero’s Perks at once, normally, you’re supposed to pick only two.
Reddit user stanners14 tested this in the Practice Range and confirmed you can select both Perks when the choice pops up, if you’re fast enough. Nail it twice and you unlock all four Perks, while even pulling it off once grants three instead of the usual two. Imagine playing Genji with Acrobatics, Dragon’s Thirst, Blade Twisting, and Meditation all active simultaneously. That’s a hefty boost.
Sounds insane, right? But before you get any ideas, know that using this bug in real matches is a bad move. Players exploiting this have already been reported, and Blizzard’s stance seems clear: reports for this will likely lead to permanent bans, no appeals. One player warned, “PSA to anybody thinking of trying this in a real game, you will be permanently banned with no chance to appeal if you’re reported for it.”
Blizzard hasn’t spoken up about this yet, but you can bet a fix is coming. The last thing Ranked needs is chaos from players stacking perks unfairly. So if you spot someone with this advantage, don’t hesitate to report them.
