Path of Exile 2 players piled into XTheFarmerX’s livestream to test their builds against a shark boss pumped full of brutal modifier. The thing had trillions of extra health and a tail swipe that can almost instantly kill anyone. It turned into a meat grinder: over 100 contestants tried and most were wiped out, while only a handful managed to take it down. The shark appears in a campaign act added by the developer in a recent update.
The trick is the map modifier system. Players can craft brutal bonuses onto maps to increase rewards, like monster bonus health or immunity to damage types. That lets organizers build fights that are hilarious, terrifying, or outright impossible. For this stream, the shark had obscene health and damage, plus a tail swipe that basically one‑shots even tanky builds.
Players tried every tactic. Most spammed ranged spells and kited, but one unlucky hit often finished them. The few triumphs came from builds that could keep distance and pepper the boss with persistent lightning damage. One contestant brought a massive dinosaur minion for a kaiju vs kaiju moment and got crushed before the shark hit half health.
Five hours into the stream, only six players had toppled the shark and claimed the rewards. Meanwhile, the boss had devoured over 100 exiles, and the event kept rolling.
