The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has entered 2025’s gaming scene, becoming the third best-selling game in the US after just one week. According to sales data from Circana, the remaster is only behind Monster Hunter: World and Assassin’s Creed: Shadow of the Tomb Raider in revenue, marking a strong comeback for this classic RPG.
Mat Piscatella from Circana shared the numbers for the week ending April 26, noting that Oblivion Remastered was the best-selling game. Bethesda’s announcement of over 4 million players since the April 22 launch adds weight to the sales figures, even if some of those players accessed the game through Xbox Game Pass.

While the full sales report for April (covering April 6 to May 3) is expected on May 21, the early data already paints a clear picture: the remaster has struck a chord with gamers eager to revisit or discover the world of Cyrodiil.
It’s interesting to see a remaster hold such a strong position quickly, especially in a year packed with new releases. The combination of nostalgia and current updates seems to have paid off well for Bethesda.
