NVIDIA has rolled out a new GeForce Hotfix driver, version 576.26, targeting several problems reported by RTX 50 series GPU users. This update aims to resolve game crashes, graphical glitches, display issues affecting popular titles, and monitor compatibility. This hotfix might be worth downloading if you own an RTX 50 series card.
The new NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix 576.26 addresses specific issues, including a crash in Black Myth: Wukong that occurs when the main character transforms. After installing this driver, Resident Evil 4 Remake players may notice fewer flickering textures in the backgrounds. Stability improvements are also noted for demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and Dead Island 2, which reportedly faced crashing problems on the latest GPUs.
A widespread lighting flicker at nighttime in Forza Horizon 5, affecting all NVIDIA GPUs, is also said to be fixed here. There’s also relief for those using DisplayPort 2.1 with HDR on specific LG monitors (models like the LG 27GX790A and others), where blank screens used to appear with the RTX 50 series cards.
This hotfix includes fixes from its predecessor (v576.15), such as resolving an issue where GPU monitoring tools stop reporting temperatures after waking from sleep mode and correcting unusually low idle clock speeds on RTX 50 GPUs.
