Nvidia has released a new GPU driver, 461.40, that adds support for the new adventure-horror game, The Medium. Furthermore, the driver also provides many fixes for multiple games, as it eliminates crashes in games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Detroit: Become Human, RE2 and Devil May Cry V, and DaVinci Resolve.
Some apps have also been addressed, but the list of known issues is still big and should be resolved in some future update. World of Warcraft players on the RTX 30 series may still notice a random flicker in certain locations, while Supreme Commander and Supreme Commander 2 suffer from low FPS. Game Ready – This new Game Ready Driver provides support for The Medium, a new adventure-horror game that features ray tracing and our performance-accelerating NVIDIA DLSS technology.
Studio Applications – The January NVIDIA Studio Driver provides optimal support for the latest creative applications including Affinity Photo (now with GPU-acceleration) and the NVIDIA Broadcast 1.1 Update. In addition, this release also provides support for the latest NVIDIA Studio laptops powered by new GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs.
