Nintendo’s Korean website has inadvertently revealed some serious surprises lurking in the launch window of the highly anticipated Switch 2. The games Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World will deliver interesting new content, but details from the site might have revealed what Nintendo intended to keep under wraps.
A recent discovery by users on Resetera showcased a version of key art for Donkey Kong Bananza, highlighting Pauline—a classic character from the original 1981 arcade game. This is particularly interesting since Pauline hasn’t appeared on any prior box art shared across other regions. Could this imply that Nintendo was planning to introduce her later? It certainly raises questions!
The slips didn’t stop there; another gem surfaced about Mario Kart World. A different world map displayed an icon hinting at what appears to be the iconic Rainbow Road. Now, that’s something fans will want to see!
Mario Kart World is slated for release alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. Meanwhile, players can look forward to racing with twenty-four drivers per race! How interesting is that?
“Crash, bash, and climb through nearly everything in DK’s path and tear off chunks of terrain to swing around and throw in innovative exploration,” said Nintendo regarding Donkey Kong Bananza. They also added how demolishing objects will unlock more secrets within the game—an interesting concept!
This title hits stores shortly after on July 17. In both games, players can expect plenty of mayhem as they take part in quests filled with surprises—anything seems possible!
