New World is now available for Preload on Steam

If you haven’t been paying attention to Steam and you wanted to be among the first ones to dive into New World, then you probably won’t succeed in your task. The preload option for New World has become available on Steam, allowing players to download and store their game clients before the game servers go live. This feature has been a game-changer since it was invented, as it will enable you to unpack and install all the mandatory files to dive into the game early after launch.

New World’s file size is around 37 GB, so if you’re having slow internet, then I’d suggest you download it now rather than waiting until tomorrow. By having everything ready you will be able to skip to the character creation in a matter of seconds once the servers go live. It would reserve you a solid spot and maybe help you alleviate the long queues.

New World is the next-gen, upcoming, fascinating, and perfectly optimized game for its caliber, thanks to the new Amazon Lumberyard engine designed for these types of games. Amazon Lumberyard is a superseded freeware cross-platform game engine developed by Amazon and based on CryEngine.

It can support a massive amount of players on one server. Hence, everyone’s eager to try out the server capability, shuffle around, and witness the server response. Considering the open beta was without hiccups, we expect a smooth launch with tons of excitement, early-on PvP action, and, yes, lingering queues which have always been present on highly populated servers. See you in Aeternum tomorrow!
