In a recent update, Microsoft revealed the upcoming Xbox Game Pass lineup for August 2023, spanning console, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The list includes an exciting mix of indie gems, AAA titles, and fan favorites.
Currently, Xbox Game Pass members can indulge in the critically acclaimed platformer Celeste, available on Cloud, Xbox console, and PC. The game challenges players to help the protagonist, Madeline, overcome her inner demons in a grueling journey to the top of Celeste Mountain. This exciting game from the creators of TowerFall is known for its thrilling hand-crafted challenges and deep narrative.
Starting on August 3, the calming exploration game, A Short Hike, will be added to the Game Pass lineup. In this serene title, players can hike, climb, and soar through the stunning landscapes of Hawk Peak Provincial Park, where they’ll encounter other hikers, discover hidden treasures, and immerse themselves in the beautiful world around them.
The action-packed side-scroller Broforce Forever will make its way to Game Pass on August 8. This title, celebrated for its tongue-in-cheek ode to freedom, brings six new ultra-patriotic characters and four new challenge levels for players to spread democracy through excessive force.
The following day, August 9, will see the addition of the award-winning indie adventure Limbo, a title known for its haunting narrative, immersive sound design, and captivating puzzles.
Another exciting inclusion this month is Airborne Kingdom, scheduled for August 10. This unique airborne city-building and management game promises a beautiful, sky-bound experience where players can grow their cloud city and restore serenity to the world below.
Finally, Xbox Series X|S and Cloud gaming subscribers can look forward to Everspace 2 on August 15. This fast-paced single-player space shooter offers a sci-fi adventure filled with secrets, puzzles, and perils, promising a challenging and rewarding gaming experience.
While new titles are added, some will leave the Game Pass roster on August 15. These include Death Stranding, Edge of Eternity, Midnight Fight Express, and Total War: Warhammer III.
