A new remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is coming our way, and it’s not just rumor mill chatter. During a radio interview on February 18, pro skateboarder Tyshawn Jones dropped some exciting news that fans are excited!
In his chat with New York’s Power 105.1 FM, Jones said, “I’m in a Tony Hawk coming out, so that’s cool. They got a new one they are remastering, so that’s about to come out. I was in the last one.”
The talk around future Tony Hawk games has been swirling for months now. In September, even the legend mentioned he was talking to Activision. He also teased us on social media, saying he wasn’t “supposed to tease anything else about the future of the series, but there will be a future.” It seems like something is brewing!
The last time we saw a game in this beloved franchise was with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skate 1 + 2, which crashed onto consoles in 2020 and was developed by Vicarious Visions, now known as Blizzard Alban, after their merge into Blizzard Entertainment back in 2022.
There were whispers of a possible remaster for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, but nothing concrete came out then. If Jones’s claims hold, we might see some action on those titles soon!
