Update: The developer has published Escape From Tarkov’s July 6 0.13.1.0 Patch Notes.
Escape From Tarkov will receive a new technical update tomorrow morning. Currently unknown, but if we were to guess, the update should fix a couple of things (if not a wipe) and include a new pre-wipe event series. It’s been way too long in this current season, and understandingly, it’s getting boring.
The developer, Battlestate Games, has reassured the players that this new update, version 0.13.1.0, will not affect their existing data despite being on the cusp of a wipe. This gives gamers more leeway to make the most of the current season before the anticipated wipe occurs.
The technical update is scheduled for installation on July 6 at 8 AM BST / 3 AM EDT. According to the official statement released by Battlestate Games, the installation process will take roughly six hours. However, they have also indicated that this duration could be extended if necessary.
Details about the specifics of the technical update remain scant, leaving us speculating on what changes are imminent. For 6-hour extended maintenance, we can say that it’s wipe-like-long. As we approach the wipe, players will undoubtedly be trying to maximize their time and efforts in the current season, exploiting opportunities for improvement and advancement.
