Neil Druckmann’s Recent Remarks Reignite Talk of a Third Last of Us Game
Druckmann referenced early 2000s sketches and wrote that he was grateful for "the few stops that remain on the road ahead,".

Studio head Neil Druckmann added fuel to long-running chatter about another Last of Us entry by highlighting early sketches tied to the franchise and reflecting on the series’ journey.
According to a report from Push Square, Druckmann said he found sketches dating back to 2003 that described “a man, his surrogate daughter, and a trek across a broken America.” The outlet quoted him writing, “Been a wild journey. Grateful for every part of it, especially the few stops that remain on the road ahead.”
The remark follows past comments from Druckmann that there is “probably one more chapter to the story,” a line Push Square previously highlighted as evidence the creative team has not yet finished that arc.
Naughty Dog is currently concentrated on development of Intergalactic, which has been reported as aiming for a PS5 release in 2027. What the studio tackles after Intergalactic has not been confirmed.
