MultiVersus gaming community has been on an exciting ride since the game entered its Open Beta phase, offering players a compelling, unique experience. However, as with all good things, the Open Beta is set to conclude on June 25, 2023, to pave the way for the highly anticipated official launch in early 2024.

Tony Huynh, the game director, expressed his gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support and invaluable feedback during the Open Beta. This period has given the developers crucial insights into improving gameplay and adding exciting new content.

Player First Games is committed to enhancing the gaming experience by focusing on several key areas. These include increasing the content cadence of new characters, maps, and modes and refining the netcode and matchmaking. The developers will also rework the progression system and explore new ways for players to connect with friends in-game.

In preparation for the official launch, MultiVersus will be taken offline, and updates will be paused. Starting April 4th, the game will be temporarily removed from digital stores. During the extended downtime, players will have limited offline access to the training room, local matches, and their characters and cosmetic items. The good news is that all progress and content will carry over to the full launch in 2024.

While the wait for MultiVersus’ return may seem long, the gaming community can look forward to a more refined experience, complete with new content, features, and modes. The team promises to provide regular updates on their social channels, website, and a dedicated FAQ, ensuring that players stay informed about the latest developments.
