While the current roster of heroes may feel precisive and enough, future power heroes may be included within DLCs. According to the Mortal Kombat 11 director, Ed Boon, new DLC characters may be announced only “if all goes well”. Well, not that MK11 hit a roadblock or anything, which means that indicates a possible announcement throughout the last week of May.
He mentioned that within a tweet, implying on a possible addition to the current MK11 roster.
Fingers Krossed…. if all goes well, next week we will be announcing the fighters that will be joining Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC !! pic.twitter.com/ewaRTZFUji

With that being said, there’s no particular information on which characters are bound to arrive, but there will most likely be nine upcoming characters that were first leaked during the release of MK11.
With a current character roster of 25 fighters, bringing new fighters to Mortal Kombat may spice the game by quite a lot. Tracing Ed Boon’s tweet should definitely unveil some mysteries, but no one knows the certainty of it. We will be waiting to see if MK11 will receive any new announcement this week.
