Capcom scheduled Title Update 4 for Monster Hunter Wilds to launch on Tuesday, December 16 and confirmed the update will bring the Elder Dragon Gogmazios into the game. Gogmazios first appeared in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Capcom said the fight reflects the fourth-generation roots of Wilds. The company will allow groups of eight on the new Gogmazios quests, standard four-player parties can bring in four support hunters to help complete the encounter. Players who defeat Gogmazios can craft Rarity 8 Gogma Artian weapons.
Capcom also outlined the immediate post-update schedule. On Wednesday, December 24, Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad becomes available, and a further update on February 18, 2026 will add Arch-tempered Arkveld, new quests, and a crossover with Monster Hunter Stories 3. The developer addressed long-running PC performance issues by committing to a sequence of optimization updates over the next three months aimed at improving CPU and GPU usage.
