Capcom has announced a record-breaking fiscal year, achieving its highest consolidated sales and operating income. A major contributor to this success is Monster Hunter Wilds, which launched on February 28 to strong acclaim and quickly reached the 10 million sales milestone within its first month.
Alongside the ongoing popularity of the Resident Evil series, Capcom’s fiscal year 2025 results show an 11 percent increase in net sales and a 15 percent rise in operating income compared to the previous year. This marks the company’s twelfth consecutive year of profit growth.
Capcom sold 51.87 million units during the fiscal year, a 13 percent increase. Notably, 90% of these sales were digital copies, reflecting ongoing trends in game distribution. With Monster Hunter Wilds still early in its lifecycle and more major releases planned, including Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of Goddess for the Nintendo Switch 2, Capcom projects sales to reach 54 million units in the next fiscal year.
Fans can also expect additional content for Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom has confirmed upcoming DLC beyond the current mostly cosmetic options, and more details are expected, possibly at Summer Game Fest. The strong performance of Monster Hunter Wilds highlights Capcom’s continued ability to deliver popular titles that resonate with players. It will be interesting to see how the company builds on this momentum with its upcoming releases.
