Capcom’s action RPG Monster Hunter Rise has somewhat embedded itself in the eyes of the fans. With its latest game in the franchise and the Nintendo Switch launch, the attraction has grown by far, selling 4 million copies. For a follow-up to Monster Hunter World’s vast popularity, 4 million copies sold is not bad all, actually, it’s tremendous and somewhat baffling for a handheld device.

Capcom’s action-RPG is on a high role of sales which is most likely to continue in the coming period. Nintendo Switch’s success has undoubtedly contributed to this strong debut. In an interview with GameDaily.biz, Daniel Ahmad, senior analyst at Niko Partners stated that the game has already become the fastest-selling third-party game on the Switch, with 4 million units sold.

We have been tracking the high demand for Monster Hunter Rise since the release of the first demo, and it’s clear that the game is off to an extremely strong start.

We see that reflected in the data as more than half of the Monster Hunter Rise unit sales were to players in the Asia region.

Furthermore, Daniel Ahmad backed up the game’s success by sharing overall game data gathered from streaming services.

There were 3,868 active streamers in the first three days, and they streamed 24,310 hours. There were 12.5 million viewers combined.
