A new user-made mod for Resident Evil Requiem enables post-mortem dismemberment on enemies, so players can continue severing limbs and heads after foes are already dead. The mod was released by modder rthomasv3 and is available on NexusMods.
Functionally, the modification lets the game’s dismemberment and sever system remain active when an enemy has been killed. It does not change weapon damage or make guns stronger. One practical result is that cutting off heads after death prevents those bodies from reanimating into Blister Heads. You can download the dismemberment mod on NexusMods.
Other community mods to try
Modders have published several other notable tweaks for Requiem that alter enemy behavior and audio. A humorous option replaces all Licker voices with Michael Jackson.
For players who want more crowded encounters, a More Enemies mod increases zombie counts, adds multiple zombie types across areas, and gives foes contextual behaviors such as cleaning, patrolling, and guarding; the mod is reported to function on all difficulty levels. There’s also a combat-focused Leon mod that provides instant gun executions regardless of an enemy’s remaining health. That one is available here: John Wick-style Leon mod. The dismemberment author notes it is an “Easy” option rather than a balance pass. A separate community mod replaces The Girl model with the Xenomorph from Alien, offering a crossover-style cosmetic swap for players who want a different tone in certain scenes.
Below are the videos that were referenced in the original coverage.
If any of these mods are tested, be sure to follow the mod pages for installation instructions and compatibility notes, and keep backups of original files before applying changes.
