The latest Midnight beta datamine reveals a clear boost to player housing budgets: Renown 7 and Renown 9 now each add 500 interior decor points and 10 room placement slots. That pair of rewards stacks to give players an extra 1,000 interior points overall across those levels, which is roughly a 30% jump compared with the previous values in the beta. Room placement gets an added 20 slots, about a 25% increase in capacity.
Housing in Midnight uses a Renown-style progression track. As you level a plot’s Renown you unlock rewards and higher budgets for placing furniture and room modules. In the current retail patch players can reach Housing Level 5, but Midnight expands that track to Level 10 so these new level gates matter more.
Practically, the extra 500 points at both Renown 7 and 9 gives players more freedom to use larger props, additional sets of themed items, or more decorative clutter without hitting the budget cap. The extra room placement slots let folks add more rooms or tweak layouts without forced removals when experimenting with design.
MMO-Champion’s build posting includes the full per-level values. The beta also sets an exterior decor placement budget to 250 at several levels, and Blizzard appears to be testing further exterior budget adjustments for launch. We previously reported on an issue affecting Midnight Epic Edition buyers who were missing several promised housing decor items, and Blizzard has said a fix is incoming. If you’re tinkering with housing during the Midnight beta, these changes mean your build plans can get bolder as you hit Renown 7 and 9. Keep an eye on the beta notes for any tweaks to exterior budgets before launch.
