Microsoft to Overhaul Xbox Rewards, Phasing Out Separate App

The Xbox Rewards app, a popular feature allowing players to earn points and redeem various rewards, is set to be discontinued. Microsoft is reportedly integrating these features into a new, streamlined Rewards Hub directly accessible on Xbox consoles.

The Xbox gaming community has long expressed dissatisfaction with the Xbox Rewards app, citing a slow interface and a lack of user-friendly features. However, recent developments indicate a significant change in how Microsoft plans to handle its Rewards system.

According to a message reportedly seen by a user in Brazil and shared by Twitter user @IdleSloth84_, the Xbox Rewards app will cease operations after November. The message highlights Microsoft’s intention to recreate and integrate the Rewards experience into a new hub on the Xbox console itself. This move aims to simplify the process, focusing on gameplay and activities that players enjoy.

(FYI) In December, Xbox Rewards is getting a New App to simplify and streamline Reward the experience. According to a message that has shown up on Xbox consoles.

The new Rewards Hub is expected to eliminate the need for a separate application for earning or redeeming points on Xbox. From December 2023, all offers and activities related to Xbox Rewards will be available through this integrated hub. The transition is part of Microsoft’s effort to centralize and streamline the Rewards experience, making it more accessible and convenient for players.

The weekly series currently available on the app will continue until the end of November, after which it will be deactivated. Points earned on Xbox will still be part of the broader Microsoft Rewards program, ensuring continuity for users who have accumulated points.

While Microsoft has not yet made an official announcement regarding the discontinuation of the Xbox Rewards app, the information shared suggests that official communication is imminent. Gamers are advised to stay tuned for further updates and details on the transition to the new Rewards Hub.
