Microsoft has finally decided to revamp the Xbox Store for a much faster, optimized, and smoother browsing experience. The Xbox Store will have a brand new look, but also receive backend tweaks that will ensure safer communication and faster response.
It seems that finding your favorite and designated games won’t be an issue any longer. In a recent news release on Xbox Wire, Microsoft has detailed all of the changes coming to the Xbox Store. With a completely revamped search functionality, users will get more comfortable queries.
Below you can find how exactly the new Xbox Store looks like.
It also noted that the overhauled store is currently available for the Microsoft Insider Program only. Therefore, it will be gradually released among users who have opted into helping Microsoft determine new software releases. Its kick-off is scheduled for August 5, so participants in the Xbox Insider program should get the complete update around this fall.
Ease of Use – important Xbox Store functionalities
- With the redesigned search functionality, it’s easier to filter your results.
- Guided by your feedback, we rebuilt the Wish List. You can now easily add new games to your Wish List and quickly check your list content (including keeping tabs on any sale pricing for your Wish List items).
- The updated shopping cart makes it easier to add items to your cart as well as view the items in your cart before and during purchase.
- We’ve also made it easier than ever to shop across four generations of great Xbox content by enabling customers to view pricing while browsing for new Xbox One games and backward compatible Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles, as well as add these games to your Wish List or shopping cart.
