Microsoft’s lineup of first-party games for 2024 is shaping up to be impressive, featuring titles like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Avowed. But, there’s also speculation about what 2025 might bring, and that is Fable.
According to leaker NateTheHate, which has commented about it on ResetEra, Playground Games’ much-awaited revival of the Fable series is aiming for a 2025 release. This timeframe is based on information available from last year, and while release dates for games are subject to change, this is the current target.
Fable was last showcased at the Xbox Games Showcase in June, with an in-engine trailer providing a fresh glimpse of the game since its initial announcement with a CG teaser in 2020. Microsoft has not provided a specific release date for Fable, but with the Xbox Games Showcase expected to return this June, more details may be forthcoming.
Additionally, there have been updates regarding the speculated reboot of Banjo-Kazooie, indicating that the project is undergoing a significant revision in terms of its vision and scope.
