Microsoft is offering full refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One

After Sony started offering full refunds for Cyberpunk 2077, Microsoft has followed in their footsteps. However, unlike Sony, Microsoft hasn’t removed Cyberpunk 2077 from their store because of its buggy release on previous-gen consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077: To ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to anyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store, until further notice. https://t.co/04TcniwVzy

While we know the developers at CD PROJEKT RED have worked hard to ship Cyberpunk 2077 in extremely challenging circumstances, we also realize that some players have been unhappy with the current experience on older consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia on December 10th. However, the release for PS4 and Xbox One hasn’t been going smoothly in the slightest. The game is filled with bugs, errors, crashes, and unrendered objects for these consoles, making it unplayable for a lot of people.

CD Projekt Red is currently working on the matter and is finding ways to fix their game for the PS4 and Xbox One. We hope that they’ll be able to solve these issues because PS4 and Xbox One users are really missing out on the full experience for a gem of a game. If we take out the bugs and other issues, Cyberpunk has an amazing story, a beautiful open world, deep side quests, great customization, and a lot of other good features.
