From The Town of Light’s creators, Martha is Dead is a first-person dark psychological thriller, combining disturbing and dreamlike tones with a mix of history, superstition, and psychological distress. It’s being developed by LKA and published by Wired Productions. The game is set in 1944 during WWII in Tuscany, Italy, where you take on Martha’s twin sister’s role to discover the mystery behind her strange death.

The game was rumored to be an Xbox Exclusive for a pretty long time, but recently, the publishers announced that Martha is Dead will hit PS5 after all.

Leo Zullo, managing director at LKA, stated the following about the PS5 announcement:

Now players have next-generation consoles in their hands, it’s exciting to watch Martha is Dead take shape on both PlayStation and the Xbox family of devices. The game builds upon developer LKA’s signature style of deep, multi-layered narratives and was always intended to be a multi-platform release that raises expectations of what can be achieved by an indie studio on next-generation hardware and PC

Martha is Dead currently has no release date, but it’s expected to come out sometime in 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game’s trailer is also pretty morbid and sinister, so if you’re a horror games fan, this is one of the main games you should be looking out for!
