It looks like we have something special brewing this month. Microsoft has just announced an upcoming ID@Xbox Showcase, and it’s shaping to be a delightful treat for all indie game fans.
This showcase will air on February 24 at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm BST, and you can catch it live on IGN and their social media channels. Mark that date because there are a lot of studios joining in!
The event features a roster of 11 Bit Studios, BigFan, Critical Reflex, Daedalic, and many more, including familiar names like Panic and Team17. It sounds like a great mix of talent.
You can expect new trailers, gameplay footage, and some exciting announcements, one being the next collaboration for Balatro. I mean, who doesn’t love seeing fresh content from indie developers? It’s such a great way to discover hidden gems!
In December alone, Microsoft spent $465 million on its games, making them the number one publisher across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. That’s quite impressive! A whopping 64% of that spending was directed towards PlayStation formats, primarily thanks to titles like Call of Duty.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what these talented studios bring to the table.
