Little Nightmares 3 delayed to 2025

Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games have announced that Little Nightmares 3 is being delayed for 2025. Yeah, it’s a bummer, but hear me out.

The folks over at Supermassive Games dropped a heartfelt message explaining the delay. They’re committed to delivering a game that’s polished and up to the high standards we all expect. They said, “As much as we can’t wait for you to return to the Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves. Quality is a top priority for us, and we know you feel the same way. For this reason, we’ve made the decision to shift the release of the game to 2025.”

They want to ensure Little Nightmares 3 doesn’t release with bugs and glitches driving us insane. They’re taking the time to get it right, and honestly, can you blame them? We’ve seen enough rushed releases lately that left us all banging our heads against the wall.

Since the reveal at Gamescom last year, the hype has been real. The eerie atmosphere, the creepy puzzles, and the spine-tingling excitement are what we all want. But let’s be honest, folks, do we want another Cyberpunk 2077 situation? Didn’t think so.

Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe are working their sweat off to ensure this next franchise entry is everything we’ve dreamed of and more. They promised more updates later this summer, so at least we’ll get some new info to chew on while we wait.

Here’s the official statement from the development team, just in case you want the full info:

“Hello little ones, ever since the announcement of Little Nightmares III at Gamescom last year, we’ve been thrilled to see our community buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The teams at Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe have been working hard towards delivering the best experience possible for the next entry in the franchise. As much as we can’t wait for you to return to the Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves. Quality is a top priority for us, and we know you feel the same way. For this reason, we’ve made the decision to shift the release of the game to 2025. We’ll be sharing more about Little Nightmares III later this summer, so please bear with us and look forward to further updates. In the meantime, we’d like to thank you for your patience and ongoing support. Sleep tight, little ones. —The Little Nightmares Team”
