NEOWIZ caught many off guard by releasing the Lies of P: Overture DLC earlier than folks expected during the 2025 Summer Game Fest Showcase. This new content brings fresh combat styles, challenging bosses, and a prequel story set in the late 19th-century city of Krat. It’s out now on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Mac, giving players new reasons to go back into the world of Lies of P.
Release Date and Details
The Overture DLC dropped suddenly on June 6, 2025, right in the middle of the Summer Game Fest talk. Unlike the usual slow tease and wait, this DLC was made available immediately after its announcement, letting eager fans jump in without delay. It’s a prequel that puts you in the shoes of Lea, a Stalker investigating strange events before a puppet massacre rocks Krat.
Overture adds new difficulty options to the original game, making it accessible for more players. There are two fresh boss rush modes: one lets you battle bosses across various difficulty levels, and the other challenges you to survive a gauntlet with limited resources. Expect plenty of tense moments as you face off against these foes!
The DLC costs $29.99 and requires owning the base Lies of P game. Plus, you’ll need to reach Chapter 9 in the original before unlocking Overture content. For those who don’t own the base game yet, a Steam bundle is available for $59.98, including the main game and the DLC.
Controller support is recommended, and Steam’s version supports Xbox and PlayStation controllers. The game is currently on consoles for $29.99 each so that you can grab both for about $60 now. After the sale ends, a bundle will cost $89.99.
So, what do you think? Will you be stepping back into Krat to uncover its secrets? The new combat options and boss rush modes might just be what the doctor ordered for those craving fresh challenges.
